UFC Sao Paulo: Expert analysis and predictions from the MMA Vivsection team
More highlights of the MMA Vivisection's best fight picks.
If you’ve been tailing MMA Vivisection fight picks these past few weeks, then I feel like it’s fair to say we’ve put y’all on to some doozies. Sure, Connor and I may have disagreed on the main event of UFC 294, and the featured prelim between Muhammad Mokaev and Tim Elliott, but the rest of our picks were 8-1 on the night, barring two no contests.
That included a solid underdog pick on Mike Breeden along the way.
The week before we went 8-2 (and split a pick on Elkins/Brown), with an underdog pick in the main event for Edson Barboza, and on the undercard with Darren Elkins (from me). Which is no kind of way to say we’re giving good gambling advice, neither Connor nor I bet with any regularity or for any meaningful stakes, but that we’ve maintained a pretty solid record with our fight picks and analysis over the years.
Solid enough that Connor has even become a regular, paid consultant in the industry, working with a number of coaches to gameplan fights for UFC talent. As such, we figured we’d give substack subscribers a quick & dirty version of our Vivisection main card picks with a brief rundown of our thoughts on each matchup and why we’re going the way we are.
This week’s card features a notable heavyweight matchup between Derrick Lewis and Jailton Almeida on a card that otherwise lacks top tier meaningful MMA action.
