Turki Alalshikh tries treating Canelo the way he treats Dana White

'The most influential figure in boxing & MMA' has rented the UFC but can't buy Alvarez

Zach Arnold has written here previously about Turki Alalshikh, the Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and his plans to become “the UFC of boxing.”

This weekend he put on a Dana White style exhibition of talking to top fighters like they’re interchangeable widgets entitled to no respect.

First up, Canelo Alvarez, who’s offended “his excellency” by fighting at the MGM on the same night as the KSA-sponsored UFC 306 at the Sphere.
