It is blatantly obvious that the UFC Roku docu-series is, as you noted, the public audition for Hunter Campbell. They are moving Dana White into "God of MMA" status. Or, if they wanted to puff him up, a CEO-type as opposed to a COO-type.

The more intriguing angle to me is how wildly successful this Endeavor production has been in terms of traffic. I guarantee you that the numbers have blown all the parties away. This is a sample of what is likely forthcoming in the future, whether it's with ESPN or Netflix, in regards to Endeavor expanding their footprint in production of sports-related documentaries.

We already know what kind of White-washing they're doing with MMA history. What will their spin of history be for other subjects they make money off of?

Your last question is rhetorical, no doubt. There’s a whole other brand Dana and the UFC are attached to that is deeply rooted in misguided “truths.” It gets notable attention when the face of that nonsense enters any UFC event.

Dana has been on record about negotiations.

the thing that has changed is he's gone from Dana referring to "my lawyer" to suddenly being a major face in the new documentary. Now UFC fans know who he is and what he does.

I mean us diehards knew the Hunter name long before this was filmed but I get your take. There may be a push. Great documentary kinda showing inner working

I think he referred to him as "My lawyer" because he wasn't appointed by him. Hunter isn't someone Dana brought him in, Ari did.

Dana has Hunter negotiate the fighter contracts for the most part bc he does not like doing it. He has someone he trusts to do it. I agree Hunter is the heir apparent to Dana if and when he ever retires. Hunter and Dana are tight. They are always in Danas blackjack videos etc.
