Luke thomas is the only big journalist who is criticising them. He is the only one though. Ariel is sugging turkeys balls.

Here is a link to Luke's excellent Youtube video yesterday covering the TKO Boxing developments:

what did you expect from Ariel? Who do you think is funding Uncrowned?

kind of funny that a venture named "Uncrowned" is getting money from a kingdom.

allegedly. Always allegedly.

Also if it's true and goes south, Ariel will do another tearful signed check reveal if and when the time comes. #journalmalism

I’m curious to know Brian Campbell’s take on this as well since he is a boxing guy. He referred to MMA Draw from some recent episodes of Morning Kombat. Great work with this article. I was thinking along the same lines as Paulie M. Boxers are now going to be lowballed like MMA Fightees

Here is Brian Campbell's reaction video to yesterday's Dana/Turki TKO Boxing announcement. I queued it specifically to the right Youtube timestamp:

love this analysis, but just have one minor caveat here - why so much focus on Wikipedia entries?

Gaethje himself didn't have one for years while until well after he got into the UFC, i believe. that one element doesn't carry much weight, especially with the constant churn and turnover in the UFC.

not trying to be difficult, it's just an odd metric to denote a fighter's standing. but other than that, i truly appreciate the way this is being covered and the fact that it's even being discussed at all. Dana's gonna get his pet boxing project after all, never thought we'd see the day.

it's just an off-hand reference to a (pretty stupid) metric. I'm channeling my inner casual in the Care/Don't Care spirit whilst shitting on the card.

But you are correct, it's not a great metric and Wikipedia is manipulated and enshittified too.

No matter how perfect a business plan may be in combat sports, something always breaks. That's the nature of greed and human psychology.

A big mistake will happen sooner rather than later. I'd prefer you to be around when that moment happens.

I'm not crossing any fingers or wishing ill-will but history is a hell of a guide for me on this prediction.
