TKO and Endeavor dropped their 2023 annual filings with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) last week and they’re everything you’d expect from the leaders in combat capitalism.
Let’s just say it was a very good year to have a monopsony on Mixed Martial Arts and a very dominant position on “sports entertainment.”
TKO reported $1.7 billion in revenue, up $534.9 million.
$1.3 billion of that came from the UFC, up $152.1 million from last year.
Keep in mind the $382.8 million from the WWE only includes results from September 12 to December 31.
Ari Emanuel had a very lucrative year earning a total of nearly $84 million from both companies — with almost $65 million of that coming from TKO.
Variety pointed out that’s nearly four times what Emanuel made in 2022. He’s still way down from the $308 million he made on stock awards in 2021.
